The name Quri (or Qori) has its roots in Quechua, the ancestral language of the Andean indigenous peoples, the Incas, where it means "Gold". The term "Quri" embodies the value and beauty attributed to this precious metal, symbolizing Wealth, Value, and the Divine.
The name is often given as a way to convey wishes of prosperity and good fortune to the bearer, as well as a connection to ancestry.
The brand name was chosen by our founder precisely to exalt and value what she considered to be the Liquid Gold of the Amazon, not the mineral, but its rich vegetable oils and butters, and therefore the choice of the name of her first product as well, Liquid Gold Amazônia. Because she perceived the value in the biodiversity of her forest and considered it sacred or divine, she also highlighted another wealth: the ancestral knowledge of the use of these natural resources.
